NRI ACCIDENT INSURANCE POLICY & CRITICAL INSURANCE POLICY
A. NRI ACCIDENT INSURANCE POLICY
- Target Persons
Designed specifically to cover non-resident Indians and their spouse (18
to 70 years) and children (above 5 years).
- Benefits
(a) To pay compensation (from Rs. 1.50 Lacs to Rs. 10 lacs under
various schemes) in the event of death, permanent total
disablement, loss of vital parts of body like limbs, eyes, etc.
(b) Reimbursement of actual expenses (upto Rs. 50,000/-) subject to limit following death
in foreign country due to accident.
(c) Cost of Air ticket for insured and one accompanying person's (Maximum Rs. 50, 000/-)
(d) Education fund- for one or more dependent child upto Rs. 5,000/-.
(e) Medical Expenses - following accident in India upto Rs. 5,000/-.
The above are subject to the specified exclusions and conditions laid down.
- Price of Product
The period of policy is for 5 years with one time premium payment. Premium ranges from Rs.
560/- to Rs. 1600/- depending upon sum insured upto Rs. 10 lacs. Family discount of 10% is
also allowed.
- Other features
Accident at any time, anywhere is covered. Compensation is payable on death or disablement
due to bodily injury within 12 calendar months from the date of accident.
B. CRITICAL INSURANCE POLICY
- This is a benefit policy and not a reimbursement policy.
- Benefits
Lumsum sum insured from Rs. 5 lacs to 25 lacs granted at the time of cover depending upon
the income of the individual will be paid irrespective of actual expenses incurred
provided the insured survive for 30 successive days after diagnosis of critical illness.
- Illness covered subject to exclusions - i) Coronary Artery Surgery, (ii) Cancer,
(iii) Renal Failure, (iv) Stroke, (v) Multipls Sclerosis and (vi) Major Organ
Transplant.
- Price of the Product
Premium (per '000 Rs. ) ranging from 0.62 to 15.25 for females and 0.82 to 21.82 for
males.
- Target Group
Individuals between 25 to 65 years are covered.
